~~ MONEY LIKES SPEED ~~
Joe Vitale said some interesting things in his ezine last
week. He was publishing the results of a survey he had
taken and was a little surprised at the number of business
people who were still in poverty consciousness and who
were willing to delay their success.
Here's the first thing he said that seemed worth
repeating. "People who want things for free or want to
pay bargain basement prices are reinforcing their own
poverty mentality. A secret to attracting wealth is to act
as if you are already wealthy."
This works at both ends of a business deal - buying...
and selling. If you're confident that your product or service
is exemplary, your fee schedule should indicate that you're
a first class business, not tourist fare.
It doesn't matter whether you sell coaching, massages,
teleclasses or wedding ceremonies. First class products
and services are worth paying extra for. We all know it...
so if the shoe fits - price your services accordingly.
The other interesting thing Joe discovered was that way
too many people were willing to delay their success. Hold
your conference NEXT year, they said. We can wait.
Joe's response? "The secret to making money is speed.
When you see an opportunity, jump on it. If you want
success, you need to act now."
Of course, if you're in tune with your intuition, your inner
voice, you'll be able to make instant decisions on things
like this. The more we follow our inner promptings, the
quicker the doors will open for us. If we delay and allow
fear to slip in, well... you know.
So gratefully pay higher fees to class acts, become a
class act to charge higher fees yourself, and act
positively when opportunity knocks. In Joe Vitale's own
words, "Remember, money likes speed."

~~ HOLISTIC MARKETING RESOURCES ~~
-- Book Review: "Marketing for the Holistic Practitioner"
Michelle A. Vandepas has just published a new book
called "Marketing for the Holistic Practitioner." It's all
about building a thriving holistic health care practice.
In fact, it's subtitled, "A Simple Low Cost Guide for
Therapists and Practitioners on Getting and Keeping
Your Clients."
Michelle has a deep respect and understanding of the
holistic health care world, partly as a result of her own
healing experiences, but also from a decade's worth
of business consultations with healers. Her book,
"Marketing for the Holistic Practitioner," is a basic
"how-to" guide for small business owners to
professionalize their business and marketing efforts
to match the quality of their healing work.
Quite often practitioners ignore the basic business
principles and methods that could help catapult their
practice from a "taking whatever comes" approach to
a "thriving business" commitment. Michelle Vandepas
intersperses chapters on pricing, advertising and office
space with sections covering integrity, clarity and
commitment, creating a holistic marketing feel
throughout the book.
For holistic practitioners just starting a business... and for
part-timers who have decided to actively build their
business, "Marketing for the Holistic Practitioner" is a
useful planning tool, written in a comfortable style that
will be accepted by the healers it's meant to help.

~~ MOTIVATIONAL TIPS ~~
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving
safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid
in sideways, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly
proclaiming, "Wow - What a Ride!"
-- Peter Sage
Flaming enthusiasm, backed up by horse sense and
persistence, is the quality that most frequently makes for
success.
-- Dale Carnegie
